SOS Analytical, Inc.
(SOS) was founded in 1993 as a full Service analytical laboratory. Formerly "Source on Site Analytical" , the company provided onsite geological and analytical services using a gas chromatograph with PID/FID
detectors, housed in a mobile laboratory. The company then greatly expanded its services to include a full range of analytical capabilities. To reflect this expansion and increased
staff expertise, the company name was changed to SOS Analytical Inc.
 The professional staff has over 60 years of combined experience and specialized training in chemistry, mathematics, biology, geology, hydrology
engineering and earth science. SOS provides complete environmental laboratory services using state of the art equipment, approved EPA methods and a superior quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) program.
SOS Analytical is housed in a 3,000 sq. ft. complex in Traverse City, Michigan. This facility is divided into four (4) separate analytical sub-laboratories, and includes all administrative, accounting and clerical functions. the laboratory is equipped with ventilation hoods that create a negative pressure in the building, preventing contamination caused by airborne solvents. The building complex also includes additional laboratory and administrative space to provide for growth and expansion.
 SOS Analytical Inc. is certified by the Michigan
Department of Environmental Quality for compliance monitoring under Safe Drinking Water Act.

Hours: Laboratory hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00
p.m. and by appointment. The laboratory will be closed on New
Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. |
| Turnaround Time: The
standard turnaround time is 5-10 business days unless otherwise
noted. Standard turnaround time applies to standard analyses
only. Turnaround time for bacteria, nitrate and lead in drinking
water is 2-5 working days. |
